VT – A commercial composting project sought by a local waste hauler is being
shelved for the near future because of local opposition.

VT – A commercial composting project sought by a local waste hauler is being
shelved for the near future because of local opposition.

Trevor Mance, owner of TAM
Inc.
, has been seeking permits for the composting facility on a 3.5-acre plot
of more than 200 acres of land owned by Mance’s family. Some nearby residents
have been vocal in their opposition and Mance recently informed state officials
that he wanted to suspend his application.
