CO feedlot expansion approved

January 6, 2011, Sterling, CO – The Logan County Commissioners recently approved a request for a special use permit by Bret McEndaffer to increase the number of cattle, construct new pens and add necessary ponds at his facility near Merino, CO.

The approval, which will allow McEndaffer to expand the feedlot operation from 16,012 to 22,000 head of cattle, was met by opposition from residents near the operation as well in the town of Merino.
