April 16, 2014, Stockton, IA — Bryan Sievers explains his new anaerobic digester system — converting manure from the family’s Scott County feedlot into electricity — like baking a cake.

Of course, the aroma is different. But, the process takes the right recipe of waste materials and an active “yeast” of live bacteria to convert 35,000 gallons a day of manure and ground corn cobs into methane gas, Sievers said. READ MORE
