Battle erupts over bill aimed at cleaning up bay

June 28, 2013 – A war of words is intensifying over a Pennsylvania Senate bill with significant Lancaster County ties that could change the focus of efforts to reduce agriculture pollution here and across the state.

Under Senate Bill 994, a major strategy in reducing nutrient runoff that ends up in the Chesapeake Bay could become regional manure-treatment facilities that would sign long-term contracts with the state. READ MORE
