Ontario, Canada announce $10.21 million investment in agri-food
The governments of Canada and Ontario have committed to investing up to $10.21 million to the Canadian Agricultural Partnership to help the agri-food sector adopt on-farm solutions to grow businesses and drive economic growth. Farmers and businesses can apply beginning Nov. 15 and until Dec. 6.
Weltec expands presence in Germany
German biogas plant manufacturer Ad Agro has merged with Weltec Biopower. Ad Agro’s operations will now continue under the umbrella of Weltec Group in Germany. Use Heider, managing partner at Ad Agro, said in a statement that Ad Agro was “faced with the decision of implementing a suitable succession strategy” and that “the profile of Ad Agro fitted snugly in Weltec Biopower’s spectrum of products and services.” Weltec also recently bolstered its U.S. presence, signing Bristola as its U.S. service partner.
