March 23, 2009 – The Association of Equipment Manufacturers’ (AEM) conference, AG Connect Expo 2010, has gained another official supporter in the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE).

ASABE will co-locate its annual Agricultural Equipment Technology Conference (AETC) with the new international agriculture exhibition. It will also conduct its annual AE50 innovation awards program at AG Connect and spotlight the AE50 winning products at the show.

The inaugural AG Connect Expo 2010 will be held January 13 to 15, 2010 (preview day January 12 by special admission) at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

AG Connect is a natural home for ASABE’s Agricultural Equipment Technology Conference, which provides a forum for the efficient exchange of technical information related to agricultural equipment research and development,” stated Melissa Moore, executive vice president of ASABE.

ASABE is a leader in the development of consensus standards for agricultural equipment design, testing, and safe operation. It works to advance efficient and environmentally sensitive methods of producing food, fiber, timber, and renewable energy sources for an ever-increasing world population.

ASABE and AEM, which owns and manages AG Connect Expo 2010, have a long history of cooperation. This includes AEM’s sponsorship, for more than 70 years, of the AEM Student Trophy Competition, honoring excellence in student agricultural engineering. ASABE has also signed on to co-locate AETC and the AE50 Awards program at future AG Connect expositions.
