WI – Wisconsin is leading the nation in turning livestock manure into power.

WI – Wisconsin is leading the nation in turning livestock manure into power.

The Wisconsin Office of
Energy Independence
reported that during 2009 methane gas produced by anaerobic
manure digesters generated 657.1 million kilowatt hours of energy in the state.
That compares to 110.1 million kilowatt hours in 1995. The typical household
uses about 10,000 kilowatt hours a year.
