June 11, 2012, Exeter, ME – Stonyvale Farm, a dairy farm located in Exeter, ME, has unveiled its new anaerobic digester energy system that turns manure and food waste into electricity and heat for the farm.
Local agricultural officials and representatives from the USDA Rural Development program – which helped fund the project (PDF) through a $1.66 million loan and $500,000 in grant funds – were recently on hand to help with the unveiling. READ MORE
