The 2020 World Dairy Expo, set to be held in Madison, WI, on Sept. 29 to Oct. 3, has been cancelled. Scott Bentley, World Dairy Expo (WDE) general manager, released a statement on June 4 saying that the WDE executive committee had considered other options, but that the health and safety of the community of exhibitors, attendees and volunteers took precedence.

“Following a meeting between World Dairy Expo’s officers and general manager, Alliant Energy Center leadership, and officials from Public Health Madison & Dane County, it has been determined, based on the national CDC guidelines and Dane County restrictions related to COVID-19, which include the Alliant Energy Center, a county owned facility, holding World Dairy Expo in 2020 is not feasible,” Bentley said.

He continued to say that the WDE will issue full refunds for all payments made for the 2020 show, with more details to follow.

The World Dairy Expo will return in 2021 on Sept. 28 to Oct. 2. For more information, visit the WDE website.
