| McDonald’s launches study into flatulent cows | |

January 14, 2010 – Fast food chain McDonald’s is to investigate the methane produced by cattle used for its burger meat as part of a project to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The chain, which uses beef from 350,000 cattle a year and is one of Europe’s largest beef buyers, has launched a study into emissions from cattle on 350 farms across Britain. |
