Dairy pays MPCA penalty

June 29, 2009, Winona County, Minn. – A local dairy has agreed to pay a $15,000 penalty for violating state standards for odors and allowing manure to discharge to a farm pond.

Diamond K Dairy has taken corrective actions and has further plans to reduce odors and better control manure, the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency said in a release.
